Hi! I woke up this morning with a desire to praise! I looked up "praise" on biblegateway and Exodus 15 grabbed my attention. It is passage of scripture filled with the praises of the Israelites after their experience of seeing God's power first hand when they were able to escape the pursuing Egyptian armies by walking across the the Red Sea on dry ground. The enemy army was washed away when they tried to cross the sea after the Israelites! What an experience! I can hardly imagine it, never mind actually witness it first hand. Let's look at all of Exodus 15:1-21...
Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the Lord:
“I will sing to the Lord,
for he has triumphed gloriously;
he has hurled both horse and rider
into the sea. The Lord is my strength and my song;
he has given me victory.
This is my God, and I will praise him—
my father’s God, and I will exalt him!
The Lord is a warrior;
Yahweh[a] is his name! Pharaoh’s chariots and army
he has hurled into the sea.
The finest of Pharaoh’s officers
are drowned in the Red Sea. The deep waters gushed over them;
they sank to the bottom like a stone.
"Your right hand, O LORD,
is glorious in power.
Your right hand, O LORD,
smashes the enemy.
In the greatness of your majesty,
you overthrow those who rise against you.
You unleash your blazing fury;
it consumes them like straw.
At the blast of your breath,
the waters piled up!
The surging waters stood straight like a wall;
in the heart of the sea the deep waters became hard.
“The enemy boasted, ‘I will chase them
and catch up with them.
I will plunder them
and consume them.
I will flash my sword;
my powerful hand will destroy them.’
But you blew with your breath,
and the sea covered them.
They sank like lead
in the mighty waters.
“Who is like you among the gods, O Lord—
glorious in holiness,
awesome in splendor,
performing great wonders? You raised your right hand,
and the earth swallowed our enemies.
“With your unfailing love you lead
the people you have redeemed.
In your might, you guide them
to your sacred home.
The peoples hear and tremble;
anguish grips those who live in Philistia. The leaders of Edom are terrified;
the nobles of Moab tremble.
All who live in Canaan melt away; terror and dread fall upon them.
The power of your arm
makes them lifeless as stone
until your people pass by, O LORD,
until the people you purchased pass by.
You will bring them in and plant them on your own mountain—
the place, O Lord, reserved for your own dwelling,
the sanctuary, O Lord, that your hands have established.
The Lord will reign forever and ever!”
When Pharaoh’s horses, chariots, and charioteers rushed into the sea, the Lord brought the water crashing down on them. But the people of Israel had walked through the middle of the sea on dry ground!
Then Miriam the prophet, Aaron’s sister, took a tambourine and led all the women as they played their tambourines and danced. And Miriam sang this song:
“Sing to the Lord,
for he has triumphed gloriously;
he has hurled both horse and rider
into the sea.”
There are so many wonderful references to our God being a warrior, glorious in power, great in majesty, smashing his enemies, overthrowing those who rise against him, glorious in holiness, awesome in splendor, reigning forever and ever! This is the God we serve! He is worthy of our praise.
I pray Lord for a heart to praise You today. I pray a blessing over my brothers and sisters to have a mouth overflowing with praise. You are Yahweh, our mighty warrior, the glory and the lifter of our head. May we praise you from our inner most being and may our minds be on You today as we walk through our day. Help us to remember that where our feet tread Your kingdom follows because Your spirit is in us, Your kingdom work is being done through us...Hallelujah God...Amen...
Blessings from My Heart to Yours
I cannot keep silent anymore, I have a need to speak blessings and speak blessings I will!

Blessing for the Grace to Forgive
Hello! When I went to bed last night I was looking forward to a real good nights sleep. I did have a good night sleep till 4 am. Man! That gets on my nerves! However, I started to pray and wonder why am I so wrestless. I realized I was angry and holding unforgiveness still against my former husband therefore I could not sleep.
I thought I was doing well in regards to forgiveness of him but I had to admit beyond a doubt that if I was doing good I would not be up in the middle of the night upset. So once again, I have to ask God to keep forgiveness pouring out of me and let it go. Here is some scripture that is cheering me on this morning... “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins."
Do I want to be forgiven? Yip! I need it! Do I love God and want to forgive because He tells me to do so? Yip Again! I am really learning that forgiveness is not saying what was done to me is alright because it is not alright. Forgiveness simply means I AM LETTING IT GO and allowing GOD to MAKE IT RIGHT! I don't have to hold on to the offence longer than I have to so I need to let it go! This is from Colossians 3:13"Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anoyone who offends you. Remember the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others." Make allowances for each others faults! This is something I have to say I don't do very much. If I were to make allowances for others to have faults and disappoint me I may not be so devistated when they do disappoint me.
So Lord I pray for this day, I ask for a blessing of Your Grace to be on us to forgive those who have hurt us. I pray for us to be able to make allowances for those around us so we can forgive more easily. Help us to remember that we can trust You to make the wrong things right. I pray for all of us to really become family to each other and to really be your children.
Lord continue to walk with me on this journey of forgiveness and continue to bring up memories, situations and dreams that remind me there is buried bitterness inside so it can be taken care of. I pray Lord a special blessing over those who have hurt me. I pray for them to be healed by Your Grace. I pray for them to come to know you in a deeper way. I pray for me to Bless My Enemies Today by remembering those things which are good about them like their kindness, their willingness to help, their giftings of giving of their time, their willingness to talk. Help me to focus on what You want me to do for my enemy than on the hurt of the offence...I pray for my brothers and sisters today to be strengthened by You...Amen...

Blessing for Being Watchful and Full of Perserverance...
Good Morning! I am excited for what I am going to write about today. I have decided recently to start each day by putting on the whole armor of God, pray for God's protection for the day and let the enemy know I am ready. I have been caught off guard many times knowing that what has happened in my day was not just by "chance" but was more of an attack I was not ready for. I want to be ready for the temptations, the chance encounters, the subtle pulls of sin that may come my way in the day and I am realizing in my old age of 34 that I need God every moment of every single day.
I am so thankful for this spiritual armor and would like to share the verses from Ephesians 6, "Put on God's whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.
For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.
Therefore put on God's complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].
Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God,
And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness [b]produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace.
Lift up over all the [covering] shield of [c]saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one].
And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God.
Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God's consecrated people)."
I looked up some of the words from Ephesians 6:18 in the Greek this morning and I am completely blown away about how serious we are to be about being alert, watchful and perserverant.
The word in the Greek for watch is agrupneo and means to stay vigilant, alert, attentive, without any unneccessary "time off", to be awake, to be watchful, to be careful. The Greek word for perserverance is proskartersis and means a strong perserverance which prevails by interacting with God (used only in Ephesians 6:18). Brothers and sisters, we are to be so fully awake and full of perserverance because our enemy is roaming around like a roaring lion seeking to devour us. I have to confess, I am not a morning person however if I knew there was a roaming, roaring vicious lion outside of my bedroom door that I could not avoid I would awake with a different alertness than the stupor that I awaken with now. This is going to make me more awakened foresure!
As soon as my eyes open in the morning, the scriptures promise there is a lion who seeks to devour me and I need to be alert, watchful, perserverant and full of prayer. We are to intercede for each other. What a way to wake up! I am going to pray blessing for us to be fully awake!
Dear Father,
Thank you for the power of your written living Word to us. Thank you that your Word is alive and I thank you for the understanding of how alert, watchful and perserverant you call us to be. Lord, help us to walk this out. Help my brothers and sisters to be full of perserverance. I understand more this morning the seriousness of being perserverant because this Greek word for being full of perserverance is only used once in the bible here talking about the spiritual battle we face. Keep us focused and strong in your mighty power at work within us. Help us to keep our belt of truth buckled around our waist, the breastplate of righteousness on our chest, our feet fitted with the gospel peace, our helmet of salvation on our head, the sword of the spirit which is the word of God in our hand and over all of this faith. Give us the measure of faith we need to extinguish the flaming arrows of the enemy. May we hear the "donk" of the arrows hitting our armor and just falling on the ground useless and not hitting their intended target, our very hearts and souls. Keep our hearts and our very being strong, help us to stand firm praying for one another and may we be strong to the end! Love you Lord and thank you for helping me this morning to get out of my slumbering stupor I wake up with and helping me instead to be "agrupneo" and "proskarteresis". Amen...

Blessings for Using your Gifts....Regardless of your Age!
Hi! I am reading this morning in 1 Timothy 4. Paul gives Timothy some wonderful advice. Let's check it out: "Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you."
What really has caught my attention this morning is to not let anyone look down on you because you are young and do not neglect your gift. I had someone tell me the other day "Oh...you are so young" I understood the comment was meant to say "You are young and can't possibly get what I am saying to you!" I laughed and let it go but I have to take the advice Paul was giving to Timothy seriously, "DO NOT let ANYONE look down on you because you are young!"
I can honestly say I have let others look down on me because I was young. I can honestly say I have been neglecting to use my gifts and have pushed certain giftings down. With my marriage break up it is time for me to not push down anymore giftings but to just be who God created me to be.
Some of my giftings are: encouraging, caring, listening to others when they are struggling, being with those who are elderly, being with those dying, being with those hurting, being with those who are broken. I have the gift of prayer, intercessory prayer, gift of faith, gift of prophecy, gift of distinguishing between the different spirits, gift of tongues and I have been praying for the gift of knowledge. This summer was a time when I was doing some research into the gifts of the spirit and noticed in Corinthians that we can ask God for these giftings so I did and am continuing to do so. I started to pray for a prophetic gifting and know God answered that prayer this fall but I want more so I am continuing on my prayer for a gift of knowledge to go along with the prophetic.
I am starting to really enjoy writing and writing what I am learning from studying scripture in the Greek and Hebrew. I love seeing what the original Greek means. It makes the Word come alive!
I love using my gifts of music to serve others. I played and sang at a funeral last week and know this is a place where God wants me. I have not sung in years as I pushed down so much of who I was because of a difficult relationship but now I feel free to be who I am. I love to sing praises to God on the top of my lungs and have praise music going continually in my home.
I have been afraid to come out and talk about my giftings in the spirit for fear of being misunderstood, for fear of being ridiculed in my faith circles, for fear of judgement that people will say "She thinks she is so much better than the rest of us", "Who does she think she is?" I want to be perfectly clear, I do not think I am better than anyone else but what I think is I have been living a lie. I have not been completely open to who I am, what I have been through to get where I am and I have been grieving the spirit in me when I have been afraid of coming out to share what God has done in me.
I want to encourage those who are also afraid of coming out to use the gifts God has given them. I love when Paul said to Timothy not to neglect the gift given him. I am wondering if I am the only one who has neglected giftings given them. I probably am not. So my prayer of blessing today is for us to use what we have for his glory...
I pray a prayer of Blessing over my brothers and sisters today, Lord may we not neglect the giftings you have given us to use for your glory. Lord may we not LET anyone look down on us because we are young, old, too tall, too short, too fat, too skinny, whatever anyone may be able to look down on us for may we not LET them look down on us. Take our focus!! Help us to focus not on what others say of us but on what you say of us. Help us to use whatever we have, if we have two sticks may we bang them together in praise, if we have two legs help us to dance for you, if we have two hands help us to clap for you, if we have many gifts or limited gifts may we USE them ALL and not keep them hidden in secret. Lord I pray blessing for the light of your prescence to bring those things which are hidden in the dark to light. Lord separate the darkness from us and bring us into the light. May we walk with you,The Only True Light of the World....Amen...I bless you today, get out there and use what God has given you. I need to get going and do the same (I am still in my pajamas!) Blessings...

Blessing for Walking in the Light
Hello! Its been a while since I was actively thinking of a blessing to write but I have something that has come up so here goes...
I have really been struggling with sin and sin's grip to pull me into places that are not good but yet I go sometimes very willingly and with almost a sense that I have to go there. The enemy of our souls is very good at getting a hook into us and then pulling us in so many directions sometimes to discern what is of our God and what is of the enemy can get so difficult.
I was reading in Ephesians 5:11-17 which says, "Take no part in and have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds and enterprises of darkness, but instead [let your lives be so in contrast as to] expose and reprove and convict them.
For it is a shame even to speak of or mention the things that [such people] practice in secret.
But when anything is exposed and reproved by the light, it is made visible and clear; and where everything is visible and clear there is light.
Therefore He says, Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine (make day dawn) upon you and give you light.
Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people),
Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil.
Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is."
Secrecy is critical for the enemy to work at having a hold over us. Having all brought into the light is not what the enemy wants us to do. The light separates the darkness, according to AB Simpson. Darkness cannot be in a place where there is light.
There has been some light shone into my life in terms of sin's grip and I want to expose sin so we can Awake! Sin's pull is strong, it is stronger than what we can withstand. If we try to resist sin on our own we are dead. Sin can only be dealt with under the blood of the cross and a continual sanctification work of the Holy Spirit in us. We have the Spirit in us that raised Christ from the dead, a Spirit of power and consuming fire but we have an imitator of that same spirit in the enemy of our souls. The enemy does not want us in the light but to stay in the dark. The only hope we have for truth to be made known is to have light shone into the dark places to see. May we see because there is light before us. Thank you Lord that "Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and light unto my path!"
I pray Lord a prayer of blessing today, a prayer for light to shine in our lives. May Christ's light shine and reveal truth to us. Thank you for your sanctification work in all those who believe in the name of our Lord Jesus. I pray that we may be willing to admit our dependance on you. It is in You that the fruitless deeds of darkness are exposed, it is in You that we are able to live in such a way as to expose the darkness because where our feet tread there is light! Bring Your light to my brothers and sisters today. May we live with purpose and be holy in how we walk...I pray a blessing to walk in the light as He is in the light so we may have fellowship with one another and be assured the blood covers and cleanses our sin...Amen....
1 John 1:7
But if we [really] are living and walking in the Light, as He [Himself] is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses (removes) us from all sin and guilt [keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations].

BLESS, curse NOT!
Today I feel a need not to pray for you to know when an opportunity presents itself so you can offer blessings.
I pray for you to have eyes to see where you can be a light. I pray for you to be full of openness to follow the Holy Spirit's promptings to bless. I pray for you to bless those who curse you. I pray for you to bless those who desire to do harm to you and say all kinds of evil against you. I pray for you to be full of love towards those who hurt and have hurt those you love. I pray for you to not have a hard heart against those who can be called your enemies but that you would do what the Word of God says which is to bless. Amen...
Bless in the original Greek means to praise or speak well of. Today I prayed for my family who has been victims steming all the way back to Hiltler and Nazi Germany. I prayed freedom for my family. I prayed for forgiveness to flow freely and words of blessing to come for anyone who hurts us when there is nothing we could do. We don't need to keep having a victim type of stronghold in the family blood line but we can start to over come evil with good and it starts with the BLESSING!

Blessing for the Words of our Mouth
HI All! Today I am wanting to pray for our words. Proverbs says,"The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit." Our words can bring life or death depending what comes out of our mouths. I have seen relationships destroyed because of what comes out of a person's mouth. I have seen how a person's words have affected the whole family going down from generation to generation. Deuteronomy 30 says, "Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life."
The key to our life is choosing life, choosing life with our words. There is always something to complain about. It doesn't take much self control to blurt out of our mouths something that is not right, something that is annoying us, something that is annoying someone we know, something annoying period. It takes far more maturity to restrain our mouths, think before we speak and choose our words carefully.
Carefully chosen words can bring life to a situation of death. I think of those who condemn others so harshly for sin and then find they are doing the samething themselves or someone in their family is doing the same things. The sins of the fathers do follow down the generations and the scripture in Deuteronomy says that when life is chosen it benefits the decendants to follow so one can assume that if death is chosen then that follows the decendants as well. Let's pray for us to chose life today and to watch our words...
Dear Father,
Help us today with our words. May we chose to speak words of life and to not speak death over ourselves and our families by the words that come carelessly out of our mouths. Help us to know the words You would have us to speak. Keep us from blurting out whatever we feel like and may we be aware of the power of our tongue. Help us to know the power of our tongue follows down the generations and even though we may not see fruit of that right away we know because Your word says that it is going to happen.
Lord, Help us to speak encouraging words to those who need to be encouraged. Help us to speak forgiving words to those who need forgiveness. Help us to speak life giving words to those who feel death on the inside of them. May we be followers of yours who are mindful of our words...Amen...
