BLESS, curse NOT!

 Today I feel a need not to pray for you to know when an opportunity presents itself so you can offer blessings.
 I pray for you to have eyes to see where you can be a light. I pray for you to be full of openness to follow the Holy Spirit's promptings to bless.  I pray for you to bless those who curse you.  I pray for you to bless those who desire to do harm to you and say all kinds of evil against you.  I pray for you to be full of love towards those who hurt and have hurt those you love. I pray for you to not have a hard heart against those who can be called your enemies but that you would do what the Word of God says which is to bless.  Amen...

Bless in the original Greek means to praise or speak well of.  Today I prayed for my family who has been victims steming all the way back to Hiltler and Nazi Germany.  I prayed freedom for my family. I prayed for forgiveness to flow freely  and words of blessing to come for anyone who hurts us when there is nothing we could do.  We don't need to keep having a victim type of stronghold in the family blood line but we can start to over come evil with good and it starts with the BLESSING!

Blessing for the Words of our Mouth

HI All! Today I am wanting to pray for our words.  Proverbs says,"The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit." Our words can bring life or death depending what comes out of our mouths.  I have seen relationships destroyed because of what comes out of a person's mouth. I have seen how a person's words have affected the whole family going down from generation to generation.  Deuteronomy 30 says, "Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!  You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life."

The key to our life is choosing life, choosing life with our words.  There is always something to complain about.  It doesn't take much self control to blurt out of our mouths something that is not right, something that is annoying us, something that is annoying someone we know, something annoying period.  It takes far more maturity to restrain our mouths, think before we speak and choose our words carefully.

Carefully chosen words can bring life to a situation of death. I think of those who condemn others so harshly for sin and then find they are doing the samething themselves or someone in their family is doing the same things.  The sins of the fathers do follow down the generations and the scripture in Deuteronomy says that when life is chosen it benefits the decendants to follow so one can assume that if death is chosen then that follows the decendants as well. Let's pray for us to chose life today and to watch our words...

Dear Father,
Help us today with our words.  May we chose to speak words of life and to not speak death over ourselves and our families by the words that come carelessly out of our mouths.  Help us to know the words You would have us to speak. Keep us from blurting out whatever we feel like and may we be aware of the power of our tongue.  Help us to know the power of our tongue follows down the generations and even though we may not see fruit of that right away we know because Your word says that it is going to happen.

Lord, Help us to speak encouraging words to those who need to be encouraged. Help us to speak forgiving words to those who need forgiveness.  Help us to speak life giving words to those who feel death on the inside of them.  May we be followers of yours who are mindful of our words...Amen...

Blessing for Fruit of the Spirit

Hi! Today I would like to bless you with the scripture from Galatians 5:22-23 which says ^“But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge].”

I know for myself I feel so many times I am not self-controlled, patient, loving and kind which is why I need strength from God’s Holy Spirit for these fruits to be revealed in me. I know these fruits are in me because I know I have the Holy Spirit on the inside of me but there is also opposite fruit living in me too which is why I need God and why you need God. I want to pray for you today and for myself as well that there would be an abundance of the fruit of the Spirit coming out of us. Let’s pray:

Father, I bless my brothers and sisters in the Lord who are on this journey of blessing with me.  I bless them to receive the truth of the Holy Spirit’s work on the inside of them. I bless them to receive the truth that we have the fruit of the Spirit in us already and we ask for your grace in our lives to have this fruit come out of us. May your fruit of your Spirit come out of us when we are faced with the trials of everyday living and we would rather be impatient rather than patient, we would rather be unkind when treated unkindly rather than be kind in response, we would rather be hateful when we are shown hate rather than love with the love you give on the inside of us.  Help us all to come to the end of ourselves so we can look up, reach up and know within our own strength we cannot do this but only in your strength.  May the strength of your Spirit sustain us and may we forgive ourselves for not being perfect. Help us to know it is your work in us and I bless your working in us today. Bless my brothers and sisters who desire to walk with you today.  Bless them to have an outpouring of your Spirit on their lives…Amen

Blessings for Wisdom

Hi All! I have a burning in my soul to bless others with words of life. It is not always easy to bless others especially when there is hurt and pain in relationships but God's word is clear on the importance of blessing, blessing those who hurt us and even are our enemies. I just can not keep it in any longer! Blessing has a way of wanting to burst forth so burst forth it is going to do...

Today I want to write a prayer of blessing over you for wisdom, wisdom according to James 3:14-18. Here is the passage from the Amplified Bible: ^"But if you have bitter jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry, selfish ambition) in your hearts, do not pride yourselves on it and thus be in defiance of and false to the Truth. This [superficial] wisdom is not such as comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual (animal), even devilish (demoniacal). For wherever there is jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry and selfish ambition), there will also be confusion (unrest, disharmony, rebellion) and all sorts of evil and vile practices.

 But the wisdom from above is first of all pure (undefiled); then it is peace-loving, courteous (considerate, gentle). [It is willing to] yield to reason, full of compassion and good fruits; it is wholehearted and straightforward, impartial and unfeigned (free from doubts, wavering, and insincerity).

And the harvest of righteousness (of conformity to God's will in thought and deed) is [the fruit of the seed] sown in peace by those who work for and make peace [in themselves and in others, that peace which means concord, agreement, and harmony between individuals, with undisturbedness, in a peaceful mind free from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts]."

I pray blessings for you to crave the wisdom which is from above.  Wisdom that is pure, peaceloving, courteous, willing to yield to reason,compassionate, straightforward and free from doubt and insecurity. I pray for you to desire godly wisdom to have a burning in your heart to desire this wisdom.  If there is jealousy, contention, selfish ambition, pride and rivalry in your life I pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal this to you.  I pray for you to rid yourself of all jealousy, pride, selfish amgition, contention and rivalry in your life.  May you be aware of any confusion, unrest, disharmony and rebellion as being "fruits" from the wrong kind of wisdom and may you  desire the" fruit" of God's wisdom which brings agreement, harmony, peace, a mind free from fears, agitated passions and moral conflicts.

Lord thank you for the power of blessing. Amen...

Love to you brothers and sisters who will follow this journey of blessing.  I don't know each day what I will be blessing but whatever the Lord leads me to pray about I will! Be blessed in His wisdom today! Love ME
